I’m a not-so-typical church media guy.

First off, my name is James Harding. I currently serve on staff at a mega-church as a ministry director. I’ve worked in students, discipleship, and worship too! I spent more than half of my life working in the private sector, where they expect results. (if you know, you know). I’m married to a wonderful amazing wife that has been a ministry multiplier, not a ministry subtractor. I really like science fiction, music, and cars. So, sorry if you get overwhelmed by references or analogies that are in that arena.

There’s nothing special about me. I’m not the most talented, most creative, most influential, most popular, most hated, most… anything. I’m just a normal guy working hard at a job that typically burns people out long before they’ve had as much time in it as I have. Why do I say I’m not-so-typical? Well, I am not a recluse for one. I also really enjoy encouraging people and helping them be better. I won’t get into the debate about all the personality types, numbers, animals, colors. That’s just silly. But, if you must know, I am an extroverted introvert, 1, lion, red. Whatever that means!

As I get older, it occurs to me that I am not alone in the challenges I’ve faced. It also occurs to me that there are plenty of people that haven’t faced challenges like some of us have and they have no clue what life is like when you’re walking through a trial. So, I hope this endeavor finds you at just the right time. Maybe you need to be encouraged because you’re stuck in the pit. Maybe you’re a friend, family member, co-worker, or spouse of someone that really needs encouragement and this will help you understand what they’re going through and how you can help. Maybe you’re just a glutton for punishment and you can’t look away from the train-wreck that would be the thoughts and insights from my perspective.
